| I am a 35 year old woman that had my tubes tied in my early twenties. I had three children and thought that their Dad and I would be together forever. How wrong was I. My current husband and I were together for six years and he didn't have any biological children. We both began to long for a baby of our own. We looked into having my tubal undone, but found that there were complications that would make that option impossible. We decided to try IVF. We went through two cycles in the United States. The first failed due to a cyst in one of my ovaries and I didn't make any viable eggs. The cyst was removed and after healing we tried again. The second cycle was also canceled due to lack of egg production. While searching for IVF answers on the Internet, I came across IVFvacation.com. By this time we were financially unable to afford another cycle in the United States. We had decided on using donor eggs if we could emotionally gather up enough strength and courage to try again. Let me tell you that with all the scams out there, skeptical would not even describe what I was thinking. After contacting Craig and Marcela we were put at ease. They gave us a legitimate United States phone number and we talked to them personally. We decided that we had nothing to loose and everything to gain. My husband and I flew to the Czech Republic on September 3, 2006. We stayed in Zlin and recommend the Hotel Saloon. They have a restaurant with an American menu and have a friendly, helpful staff. Dr. Anna was wonderful! He was much more positive than the doctors in the United States had been. He made us feel very comfortable and always had a smile on his face. Our donor eggs were fertilized on the 12th and three were implanted on September 15TH. We flew home on September 16TH. We were very excited and felt very good about the entire experience. Craig and Marcela are angels. I am pregnant with twins!! We had a vacation that we will never forget. My only advice would be to take extra money for site seeing. Prague is gorgeous and there is so much to see!! Our total cost for everything was 8900.00 including the donor eggs!! While we will never know our twins bio mom, we are sure that we will catch a glimpse of her in our children's faces, while they play, and in their smiles. We will be forever grateful that God made some people that are so giving and willing to give us the most amazing gift - our twins! Thank you Craig and Marcela, we will never forget you!! While we would like to keep our identities private you can e-mail us with any questions at: juede@centurytel.net February 2007 - from Kevin: Our pregnancy is going good so far. We are 6 months now. They still say one boy and one girl. We are getting excited and set up for them. April 2007 - I wanted to write you back and let you know we had the twins. It is pretty ironic because you e-mailed us on the 18th of April and that is the day we had them. Yes it is a boy and a girl. We named the boy Ben and we named the girl Brenda. They came at 32 weeks and 2 days. I spent 6 days in the hospital and they were in there for 2 weeks. That was a long 2 weeks. We juggled going to the hospital and being at home with the big kids. We were so happy when they said we could bring them home.. Ben weighed 4lbs .06 oz when he was born and Brenda was 3lbs and 14 ozs. They now are 5lbs 1oz for him and 4lbs 10oz for her. Kevin said he will try to send pics to you but our computer is slow so he doesn't know if he can get them to come through. Thanks to you guys we have two perfect bundles of joy. Sleepless nights but its worth every minute. We will talk to you later, Bennie is waking up. |
