My husband was skeptical, my mother was horrified, and we didn’t even talk to Marcela and Craig
until the last week before I left (I did drive them crazy with my million emails).   Our questions were
always answered with the utmost professionalism and understanding.
Zlin is a small town but it grows on you. The people are nice, and the doctors and nurses are
everything you dream of in a health care provider. They are so nice, and really dedicate their time to
you. I have come to hate the doctors here because they treat me like a piece of meat, and make me
feel as if all they want is my money. Over there you don’t hear anything about payments or money
until the day of the transfer due to the meds that you need to take with you and after you’ve had a
successful treatment. It is quite a refreshing experience in medical care to say the least.  It’s such
load off when you don’t have to worry about appointments or anything doctor related because
Marcela takes care of everything for you. We stayed at Penzion Uno and it was great. Hanna, the
owner, is so very hospitable and took of us when ever we needed anything. My eyes flooded when I
kissed her goodbye.
I went into this prepared for the worst, but at the same time trying to keep a positive attitude. The
good thing is that when you are there, in a different place, with a bunch of other people that are
going through the same thing as you, and all of them are very hopeful and have a positive attitude,
you forget why you are there to begin with. To me it felt like summer camp. My only worry was that I
was going to forget my shots because I was so entertained. I kept busy all the time. I went to the Zoo,
and the nearby towns of Vizovice, Kromeritz, and Olomouc. I even went to Vienna with a couple I met
there, which I now call friends. Hopefully you will go at the same time with other couples, as well as
have Marcela and Craig there during your stay and be as fortunate as I was to meet such great
people.
When my husband arrived we went to Vienna because I liked it so much and we had a wonderful
time. We also visited Prague and loved it. We decided to stay a few days after the transfer to rest. I
don’t know how other couples leave the very first day after the transfer, I couldn’t have handled it.
I did my HPT on the 11th day, because we couldn’t wait any longer! (Believe it when they say that the
2 week wait is the worse, is a gut wrenching experience). And it was positive! However, we didn’t
really celebrate because when you use your own eggs the amount of hormones taken in during
shots can give false readings.  This was an excellent start needless to say and so we waited for my
blood results, which we got yesterday. We are PREGNANT!!!
Words can not express our gratitude to Dr. Anna, Dr. Chovanec, nurse Petra, Marcela and Craig. I
have baby (ies) growing inside of me, and I can’t stop smiling.

Thank you.
