| Our experience went above and beyond our greatest expectations. The Czech Republic and its people are equally beautiful in nature and visage. Tony picked us up and dropped us off at the airport as arranged. Zuzka accompanied us to all of our clinic visits, and while everyone at the Klinika spoke perfect English, it was nice to have someone to help out with the appointment coordination. The clinic itself was much nicer and more modern than the highly regarded US clinic we had utilized during our first IVF attempt; the recuperation room was bright and cheery. And the staff!!! Simply put, the staff is absolutely wonderful. Dr. Anna did our initial consultation and took his time in explaining everything to us. The day of our transfer the embryologist sat down with us and went through the status of every single fertilized egg and then made her recommendation to transfer 2 and throw away the remaining 8 lower-grade embryos. At the same time, she was receptive to hearing my desire to try to transfer the top 3 embryos as the third embryo seemed to only be slightly slower in development; by the time I was in the transfer room, the embryologist made a point to come out and personally tell me that the third embryo had caught up to the same stage as the first two since our consult minutes earlier. My husband was especially impressed by the fact that the embryologist was so decisive about only working with the best embryos and not to bother even saving the rest… especially when the rest were of much better quality than the US clinic had transferred during our first failed cycle. The Klinika embryologist stated she would never have even attempted to transfer such low quality embryos as they were destined to fail from the very beginning. Dr. Chovanec completed the actual transfer since Dr. Anna had gone on vacation, and we were equally impressed with his bedside manner. He came in and checked in on us twice in the hour that we were recuperating. And now a word about Craig and Marcela – where would we be without them? They immediately put us at ease. They are 100% dedicated to customer satisfaction – not that we ever felt like customers with them. Rather, they are like close friends who are constantly rooting for you and will do whatever it takes to find you peace and happiness. While planning our trip, they were our travel advisors giving us helpful tips on what to do and where to go. When we lost our luggage for 5 days, Marcela personally called the airlines to track it down for us. During our stay in Zlin, they remained in frequent contact to get regular updates on our stay and wish us luck on our transfer. And when we returned home from Zlin and found out 4 days later that my MD had, unbeknownst to me, run a pregnancy test that had come out with negative results, Marcela was the one on the other end of the phone to offer her condolences. She provided me hope and reassurance that she would do whatever she could to arrange another trip for us as soon as possible, regardless of the already overbooked schedule. And finally, when just a few days later I called Marcela back to let them know that my follow up “pity beta” had come back positive and the repeat trip would no longer be necessary, I think Craig and Marcela were almost as excited as we were about the good news – almost!
